“AS I’VE WATCHED WHAT PEOPLE DO, I’VE DISCOVERED THAT THE ONES I WANT WITH ME ARE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. - THESE PEOPLE DISCOVER RESOURCES IN PLACES YOU THOUGHT WERE BARREN. - THEY FIND PROSPECTS WHERE YOU BELIEVED THERE WEREN’T ANY. - THEY CREATE OPPORTUNITIES WHERE YOU THOUGHT NONE EXISTED. - THEY TAKE SOMETHING AVERAGE AND MAKE IT EXCEPTIONAL. - THEY NEVER MAKE EXCUSES – THEY ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.”

Topic #9: Leadership Flex

Picture
One of the most important skill sets of a leader is to be able to flex to the needs of the team member. Understanding their readiness level which takes into account their ability and their understanding.

But are you also able to flex to the changing work environment? Adapting to a hybrid workforce. Evolving your style to calendar changes - vacation, budget cycles, and events? Join us as we dig deeper into the benefits of IMPACT Leadership and the importance of flexing.

Topic #8: Leadership Failures

Picture
We all learn from our mistakes, and wow, have I learned a lot! While every failure CAN be an opportunity to grow, what if we could grow from other peoples failures as well?.

Join us this session as we learn from past leadership struggles and help others navigate through similar leadership challenges. While we may not be able to avoid the mistakes, maybe we can lesson the impact and recover faster.

Topic #7: Improving Communication

Picture
Communication sounds easy but good communication is another thing. It is typically identified as the #1 trait of both great teams and great leaders. Conversely, it's the #1 issue at most organizations.

We focus not only on the importance of communication, but we will shared and discussed our own best practices on what to do AND what not to do to improve communication in your world.

Topic #6: Helping Your Team Hit Their Goals

Picture
A study by the University of Scranton showed that only 8% of people were successful at achieving their New Year's goals. That's right, 8%!  That means 92% are failing to meet their goals but if F.A.I.L. stands for First Attempt In Learning, then why doesn't the number improve over time?

If we are not successful in our personal goals, are we forced to use our success at work goals to drive us? Is that enough to sustain our energy and happiness? We will dive into the challenges in how we historically set goals and look at the power of Planning Backwards to help achieve those goals.

Topic #5: Closing the Generation Gap

Picture
It seems that every company is discussing how to integrate the various generations of workers into a cohesive teams. Societal challenges, technology explosion, social media, Post-Covid hangover, and different perspectives on the role of work in your life has left companies scrambling to foster engagement.

We discuss how these challenges are showing up in our workplaces and identify pathways forward to build connections between employees so that both the organization and the employees are successful.

Topic #4: Fostering Ownership & Accountability

Picture
Ownership and accountability are not mutually exclusive, but complementary. By fostering both, you create a culture of high performance and empowered teams. As a leader, your role is to create the framework and environment for both ownership and accountability to thrive.

Gallup's State of the Global Workplace Report: Found that organizations with high employee engagement (often linked to a strong sense of ownership and accountability) experienced 21% higher profitability, 22% higher productivity, and 41% lower absenteeism.

Topic #3: Influencing Change in Leaders

Picture
When introducing change to peers on a management team who are hesitant, it's crucial to approach the situation strategically and empathetically. This session, we will be discussing an ACTUAL scenario one of our leaders is facing and we will use the session to help them work through this challenge.
QUESTIONS FOR THE ARENA:
How can we help senior leaders understand the importance of empowering those who do the work?

How can someone who possesses the knowledge and ability to help close a gap, without the repercussions of “Did you get approval to do that?”

If process improvement happens where the work is being done, how do you appropriately communicate to a senior leader “Things aren’t how they used to be, and this needs to change”?

Topic #2: Introducing Change

Picture
A study by McKinsey found that only 26% of change initiatives deliver expected results. This highlights the need for a strategic and systematic approach.
Studies indicate that a significant portion of change initiatives fail due to employee resistance.

Topic #1: Employee Engagement

Picture
Gartner defines engagement in three ways:
  • Employees feeling energized.
  • Employees finding purpose in their work.
  • Employees feeling empowered to do valuable work.
