About TomTom makes his home in Rolla, Mo with Jenny, his wife of 28 years, and 4 kids. Tom received his BS in Engineering Management in 1993 from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Upon graduation, Tom began his career at Brewer Science as a part-time employee in sales and finished his last 12 years as an Executive Leader. Under Tom’s leadership, his team was able to build an industry recognized World Class Manufacturing organization.

Tom now uses his impact of proven leadership with other organizations. He serves as a Board Member at Missouri Enterprise, part of the NIST-MEP national network. Through his firm, Serve2Lead, he looks for ways to further make an impact on the lives of others through consulting, individual & team development, and professional coaching. Tom has provided leadership training to organizations based upon his writing and his own experiences, titled 3 Pillars of Impact: Building a Foundation of Success. He has been a guest speaker at various events and conferences as well as serving on numerous discussion panels.
During Tom’s 30 years with Brewer Science, he worked both in the field and at the corporate office. He demonstrated his versatility & flexibility over the years by serving in diverse leadership positions in Technical Sales, Customer Support, Business, Operations, IT and Corporate Systems. Known as a leader who can communicate the vision and need for change, his movements coincided with the implementation of major initiatives that focused on growth and improvement; Operational Excellence, Oracle Implementation and Zero Defects. Under Tom’s guidance, Brewer Science built a state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility in rural Missouri. This facility was acknowledged to be “World Class” by the leading Semiconductor Manufacturers in the world. Brewer Science was a repeat winner of Intel’s 2020 Preferred Quality Supplier Award which recognizes the top 26 suppliers from their entire supply chain.
Core to his leadership approach is the ability to elevate and empower employees to bring their best to the table and then to get out of their way. Fostering a grass roots effort to drive towards World Class, his work teams utilized Lean, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methods to drive out wastes, significantly reduce product scrap while exceeding the extremely demanding and stringent quality standards required by the world’s leading computer chip manufacturers.
Tom has poured his heart and soul into the development of young people in his community, actively coaching and developing young players to become our future leaders. Whether through direct coaching, leading clinics, serving on boards or directing development programs, Tom's focus has always been on their growth and not the scoreboard. Tom has adapted his 3 Pillars of Impact to the sports arena by introducing the Varsity Edition, that focuses on building a winning culture for high school and collegiate sports teams.
